The International Forum on Sustainable Mineral Supply Chain (SMISC Forum) is a large-scale international comprehensive conference event jointly established by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Minmetals and Chemicals and international authoritative institutions, which is committed to building a comprehensive service platform for policy advocacy, cooperation and consultation, mutual recognition of standards, capacity building, public opinion, brand communication, achievement release and experience sharing among the upstream and downstream of the global mineral supply chain and various stakeholders.
From December 2 to 4, 2020, the first International Forum on Sustainable Mineral Supply Chain was grandly held, which was the first high-level international forum on mineral supply chain governance held in China, consisting of high-end summits and 5 sub-forums, more than 60 guests from major representative countries in the world spoke, attracting guests from government departments, international multilateral organizations, standards bodies, upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain, and third-party institutions, with a total of 13,000 live broadcast viewers. It has been widely reported by CCTV news and many other mainstream media.
This forum will build a professional, high-end and authoritative sustainable development dialogue platform; Analyze ESG risks and challenges in supply chain governance in the mining industry; To discuss the status and trend of legislation, policies and rules for the due diligence management of the mineral supply chain; Explore cooperation mechanisms for upstream and downstream partnerships and multi-stakeholder participation; sharing cutting-edge knowledge, tools and good practices in ESG and supply chain due diligence; Actively working to shape responsible, resilient and sustainable mineral supply chains.
